M51

Taken early morning 4/26/09, Meade 10" LX200R, focal reduced f/6, in FITS, calibrated/stacked in AIP4Win and merged in Photoshop. Slightly color adjusted towards yellow. Shot with Meade DSI2color, stack of 24 2-minute images.



M61

Galaxy M61 in the Virgo Cluster, through 10" LX200R, f/10, no filters, shot early in the morning on February 25th, 2009 using a Meade DSI2 color camera, FITS. Photo consists of a stack of 27 images, each 2 minutes, with dark subtracted in Envisage. Images stacked in AIP 4 WIN and LRGB merged/level and color adjusted in Photoshop.



M88

M88 in Virgo cluster, stack of 14 images shot 1/19/09. Meade 10" LX200R f/10, each image 4 minutes, FITS, dark subtracted in AIP4Win and LRGB merged and cleaned up extensively in Photoshop.



Whirlpool Galaxy

Meade LX200R 10" shot with Meade DSI 3 color, FITS stack of 19 images 45 seconds stacked in AIP for Windows, LRGB merged in Photoshop CS3, slight color bias towards blue. No filters. Taken in 03/2008.



Andromeda

Meade Lx200R, F/10, shot with Meade DSI 2 color in JPEG format, Alt/Az, stack of about 20 usable 30 second images stacked and dark-subtracted in Autostar suite, cleaned up in Photoshop with clone stamp and Gaussian blur. Taken 12/03/2007.



Crab Nebula

Meade LX200R 10" F/10, shot with Meade DSI 2 Color, FITS, stack of 48 images 15 seconds each shot in Alt/Az and stacked/cleaned up considerably with Photoshop. No color adjustments or filters. Star trails cleaned up extensively with clone stamp tool. Taken on 11/29/2007.

Jupiter

Meade Lx200R, F/10 with a Barlow at approximately 280 X mag, shot with Meade LPI webcam. stack of 10 images 0.5 sec each stacked automatically by Autostar Suite and in JPEG format. Io visible under the planet, shadow of Io on the surface and Great Red Spot showing. Gaussian curve sharpened in Photoshop. No filters or color adjustment. Taken some time in 2006.
